This is the first of my painting approaching social critic. It presents several scenes of actions and inconsequencies practiced by the human being and that are representative of the societies in the world. The couple making love represents all human beings in one moment that they can be considered equals.
The critic itself, refers to the fact that during the day, the man practices all the attitudes shown by the glued images on the picture and, at night he sleeps like he had done nothing wrong, like everything was good for everybody. The title, based on the book “All Quiet on the Western Front” written by Erich Maria Remarque, has the intention to make easier to spectator's understanding regarding the general context of the work.
